High School Math Teacher

Old Redford Academy is hiring a High School Math Teacher. Must have a Michigan Teacher Certification with Mathematics (EX) endorsement. 

We are searching for a dedicated and experienced math teacher to join our team. As a math teacher, you will be required to deliver lessons that develop students' theoretical and applied mathematical skills. You will also be responsible for assigning homework, grading assignments and quizzes, and documenting students' progress.

Responsibilities: 

Developing lesson plans and curricula based on the needs of individual students and classes to facilitate students’ understanding and application of mathematical concepts.

Grading tests, assignments, exams, and other assessments, and communicating with parents, students, teachers, and counselors regarding underperformance and other concerns.

Assessing student needs and providing support or extra resources to struggling students as well as exceptional achievers.

Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.

Ensuring all curriculum, school, and state requirements are met.

Participate in faculty meetings and professional development activities as required.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in teaching or relevant field.

Michigan Teaching Certification with Mathematics (EX) endorsement. 

In-depth knowledge of teaching methods and legal educational procedures.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Well-organized with excellent leadership abilities.

Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills.
