Old Redford Academy is hiring a 3rd Grade Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. Must have teacher certification and endorsement in subject.

The Old Redford Academy’s philosophy is based on early work of Dr. Maria Montessori Method of Teaching which has a focus on educating “the whole child”. Summary:
Our school is seeking a full time 3rd grade teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching and have experience working with young children. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe and engaging learning environment, developing lesson plans, and assessing student progress.
Responsibilities:
Create and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards
Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and behavior
Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning community
Attend and participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and parent teacher conferences
Maintain accurate records of student attendance and academic progress
Provide additional support and resources to students who need extra help
Participate in school wide events and activities, such as field trips and assemblies
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
Michigan teaching certification with endorsement in subject
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of state standards and curriculum requirements
Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success
