Old Redford Academy is hiring an Assistant Varsity Football Coach for the Fall 2026 season!

Overview

Join our esteemed athletic department as a Fall 2026 Assistant Varsity Football Coach, where you will support the Head Coach in developing a competitive and successful football team. This role is crucial in shaping athletes' skills, sportsmanship, and teamwork. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about football, dedicated to mentoring athletes, and committed to promoting a positive team culture.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting practice sessions, ensuring a safe and productive environment for athletes to improve their skills.

- Collaborate with coaching staff to develop effective game strategies and player development plans.

- Monitor and evaluate player performance, providing constructive feedback and guidance to help athletes reach their full potential.

- Promote sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork, fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.

- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines, maintaining the highest standards of safety and conduct.

- Participate in team meetings, game preparation, and performance reviews, contributing to strategic decision-making.

- Support the academic and personal development of student-athletes, encouraging a balanced approach to sports and education.

Qualifications

- Previous coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level preferred.

- Strong knowledge of football techniques, rules, and strategies.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire athletes.

- Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

- Commitment to the academic and athletic success of student-athletes.

- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
